==History==

Ferretti Group originated in 1968, when the Ferretti brothers opened a small workshop in Treviso, where they began selling American motorboats from Chris Craft. In 1971, they created their first 10-meter wooden motor sailer model. In 1982, they launched their first motor-only boat and specialized in sports boats, open and flybridge. In the following years, the group expanded by acquiring other prestigious brands and diversifying its offerings. In 2012, the group came under the control of the Chinese company Weichai Group, which holds 86.5% of the capital. The president is Tan Xuguang and the CEO is Alberto Galassi.


==Structure and governance==

Ferretti Group is a company based in Forlì that owns eight brands involved in the design, production, and sale of motor and recreational yachts, ranging from 6 to 85 meters in length. The brands are: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, CRN, Custom Line, and Wally. The organizational structure is based on four geographical areas: Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), North America (NA), Latin America (LATAM), and Asia Pacific (APAC). Each area has its own financial responsibility and governance, coordinated by the headquarters in Treviso. The board of directors consists of 11 members, of which 6 are independent. The board is responsible for defining strategies and corporate policies, as well as monitoring economic and financial performance.
