Fabio De’Longhi is an Italian entrepreneur, current CEO and Vice President of De%27Longhi.[1]
Born in Treviso on September 24, 1967, Fabio De’Longhi is an Italian entrepreneur, son of Giuseppe De'Longhi, founder and President of a company active in the home appliances sector.
Education and Early Positions
Graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Fabio De’Longhi began his career in the family business in 1991, dealing with marketing and product development both in Italy and abroad. In 1994, he contributed to the acquisition of Climaveneta, a company specialized in industrial air conditioning. In 1995, he participated in the acquisition of the Micromax-Simac group, a manufacturer of ironing and cooking appliances. In 2001, he led the acquisition of the British company Kenwood, known for its kitchen appliances. Also in 2001, he took De’Longhi public.
At the Helm of the De'Longhi Group
In 2005, he was appointed CEO of the company, succeeding his father Giuseppe. In 2012, he signed an agreement with the Swiss group Nestlé for the production and distribution of Nespresso and Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machines. In 2020, he relinquished the position of CEO to Massimo Garavaglia, an international manager from Barry Callebaut, while remaining Vice President of the company. He became CEO again in 2022, following Garavaglia's resignation.
