Massimo Antonio Doris is an Italian banker and business executive, currently the CEO of Banca Mediolanum. [1]

Education and early career

Originally from Bassano del Grappa, Massimo Antonio Doris was born on June 9, 1967, and is the firstborn of Ennio Doris, founder of Banca Mediolanum. After attending the Gonzaga Institute in Milan, he graduated in Political Science with a focus on administration from the University of Milan in 1996. In the same year, he began working at Mediolanum, initially dealing with management control and then with door-to-door sales of life insurance policies. Between 1997 and 1999, he moved to London, where he gained experience in the financial market working as a sales assistant at the investment banks UBS, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse Financial Product.

Return to Italy

In 1999, Doris returned to Italy and was involved in launching Mediolanum's online trading platform. After passing the financial promoter exam and being registered in the register, Doris dedicated himself to commercial activities, becoming assistant to the general manager Edoardo Lombardi, responsible for training the network of financial promoters, and finally Italian Network Manager, responsible for the national network of global consultants of Banca Mediolanum, which counts over 5,000 people.

Experience in Spain and appointment as CEO

In 2005, Doris moved to Barcelona, where he took on the role of CEO and general manager of Banco de Finanzas e Inversiones, the Spanish bank belonging to the Mediolanum group. In 2008, he returned to Italy and was appointed CEO and general manager of Banca Mediolanum. Since May 2014, he has been solely the CEO, replacing his father in television commercials for the bank.

Other positions

In addition to his role at Banca Mediolanum, Doris is the sole partner and chairman of the board of directors of Snow Peaks S.r.l., a limited partner of Casa al Traghetto S.a.s. di Andretta Pierluigi & C., and a limited partner in real estate management in Torviscosa of Andretta Filippo Luca & C. S.n.c. He has also been Vice President of Assoreti since 2014 and from 2012 to 2014 he was a board member of Banca Esperia (sold by Mediolanum to Mediobanca in 2016).
