Education and career at General Electric
Fabrizio Fabbri was born in Rome in 1965. In 2000, he graduated in Philosophy from the University of Florence. He began his career in 1988 at Ricciarelli Spa (Sasib Group) and then joined Nuovo Pignone in December 1989, which was then controlled by Eni and later by General Electric. Within the Italian industrial perimeter of General Electric, Fabbri held various positions, including in Europe, eventually becoming General Manager for Southern and Eastern Europe of the European branch of the American group and, concurrently, starting in 2015, also the CEO of Alstom Power Italy (also part of GE). In this role, he managed, in particular, the entire business of GE Power Services.
The transition to EthosEnergy
Since April 2020, he has been part of the management structure of the American group EthosEnergy, specialized in the production of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, valve pumps, and aerospace components. In particular, Fabbri has held the position of Executive Vice President for the eastern hemisphere of the Houston (Texas) company, managing a branched and consolidated activity that relies on an organization of 2,150 employees and a network of 22 sites and eight plants.
The appointment as CEO of Ansaldo Energia
On March 5, 2023, he was appointed CEO of Ansaldo Energia, a company owned by Cdp through Cdp Equity, replacing the resigning Giuseppe Marino. Ansaldo Energia is one of the leading Italian companies in the electricity production sector, with a range of products that includes gas and steam turbines, generators, and turnkey plants. Fabbri brought his experience in the Energy and Oil & Gas sector to lead Ansaldo Energia, aiming to strengthen the company's competitive positioning in the global market and develop new growth opportunities. Fabbri also supported the recapitalization process initiated by Cdp Equity.
